In 2023, we will make the second of a very special photography trip, where we will see the Greenland glaciers, wander around them, and even take magnificent photos by boat. How many times in your life do you have the opportunity to see an iceberg up close? This trip is a boutique trip with only 8 people. It will be a very enjoyable and very different photography trip like our first trip in 2022. You will find yourself in a white fairy tale. If we’re lucky, we’ll have a nighttime northern light shoot to photograph the northern lights. There is also the possibility of seeing whales. The type of photography will be mainly spectacular landscapes.
- Day – 22 August Departure and journey will start. Our first stop will be Iceland. We will reach our accommodation from the area and see Reykjavik, albeit briefly. We will stay here for one night. Reservation will be made by us. Reykjavik accommodation is included in the price of the trip. However, no meals are included in Reykjavik.
- Day – 23 August Our trip will continue with a flight from Reykjavik to the airport in Greenland. We will take our belongings from the airport and glide through the icebergs with our boat to reach our accommodation. In this part of the journey that will be by boat, you will be amazed by what you see, we will start with the white table. We will take pictures until we get to our accommodation. After our photography adventure on the first day, our accommodation will be on land.
- Day – 24 August this morning we will go to a breathtaking glacier with our boat. In the region where the glacier is located, there are rivers, mountains and very beautiful lakes. We will have a two-hour break, during which we will have lunch by the glacier. After dinner, we will visit an abandoned American base. This is a disaster for the environment, but a very interesting place for photography. We will have a photo break here for a while. On the way back, we will pass through the glaciers and take pictures in the white fairy tale until we reach our accommodation. We will return to our hotel for accommodation.
- Day – 25 August Today we will go to Rasmussen glacier. We will have a very enjoyable lunch break at the edge of the glaciers. Afterwards, we have a visit to a village with multi-colored wooden houses where only 220 people live. Right next to this village, we will see huge glaciers again. Also, the Rasmussen glacier, which we will visit today, is called the world’s largest ice machine. Because it’s a glacier in motion.
- Day – 26 August Today we will go on an ice fjord. When we get close to the glacier, we will go ashore and take a lunch break. If the ice permits, we will go into an ice cave and take pictures today. To reach the cave, we have to walk for half an hour inside the glacier. Necessary shoes will be provided by us for those who want to come. On our way back, we will reach our accommodation point through the glaciers with the happiness of being able to visit the cave.
- Day – 27 August today will be a day we will spend on land. To understand Greenland a little more, we will visit the museum and the surrounding places. There are only a few shops for souvenirs, we will visit them. We will go to the cemetery. The cemetery has an interesting structure and natural scenery. You will see the graves of very young people here. We will learn their stories there. We will end the day by walking around the neighborhoods and taking photos of the magnificent scenery and people.
- Day – 28 August – After breakfast today will be a free day. We can discover the island by ourselves.
- Day – 29 August – today is our last day in Greenland. After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport by boat. Of course, we will take a lot of photos again until we get to the field. With the transfer to the airport, our Greenland trip will be over. We will have experienced an amazing adventure that we will never see again among the glaciers. We will return to Reykjavik and stay here for one night. We can do a short tour of Reykjavik again. Our Reykjavik stay is included in the tour, but no meals are included.
- Day – 30 August – We will fly back home.
