Bangladesh Photo Trip

As Azgezmiş, we, who are sometimes quite brave and pioneers in photography trips, are ready to open the Bangladesh route this time. Bangladesh will be a route where we can take very interesting and very beautiful photos. We have very interesting places on our list that we will see in our 11-day visit. First we will see the world’s largest shipbreaking port. We will enter this port and photograph the work of the workers. We will visit and take pictures of those who carry cargo to the ships in the Bay of Bengal. We will enter the brick factories and see and photograph the brick making in traditional conditions and a bit of dust. In 11 days, we will travel in the country by train and plane, get involved in life and take squares from these lives.

Although it seems that there is more time than January 5, 2023, the date we announced our trip, flight ticket prices are increasing every day. For this reason, it will be beneficial for you to make a quick decision and join the trip before the air ticket prices increase further.

Day 1: We will arrive in Dhaka and spend the day relaxing and free.

Day 2: We will visit a river terminal in Dhaka early in the morning. We will have a great hustle and bustle here, hundreds of boats will dock in the early hours of the morning and we will see the loading and unloading of materials. Then we will take a boat ride to see this from a different angle and take more pictures of the river. We will cross the river and then reach the shipbreaking yards and spend a few hours there. Afterwards, we will return to our hotel and rest for a while. In the afternoon we will explore a few streets in old Dhaka and take pictures of life. Then we will go to Dhaka’s biggest wholesale market and take photos there. Breakfast and dinner will be taken at a local restaurant. Our accommodation will be in Dhaka.

Day 3: Without having breakfast early in the morning, we will set out to catch people unloading coal, sand and bricks from boats. After taking these photos, we will go to a restaurant for breakfast around 09:30. After breakfast we will see and photograph nearby brick factories and local markets. Then we will go back to the city. In the afternoon, we will continue to take pictures, this time exploring the trains and central stations. Our accommodation will be in Dhaka.

Day 4: We will go to the train station early in the morning and start our 8-hour train journey. If you decide to join the tour early, we will be able to buy our tickets from the air-conditioned 1st class wagon. We are going during the busy season, it will be in our best interest to make a quick decision. December is one of the most popular months. In the evening, we will reach Srimangal, see the evening view of the city, take some photos and rest. We will have dinner in Srimangal.

Day 5: We will get up very early in the morning and photograph the people picking tea in the tea gardens. Then we will visit a tribal village and take pictures with the beautiful lights of the morning. Afterwards, we will return to our hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, we will have village visits. We will have dinner at a good restaurant in our area. Our accommodation will be in Srimangal.

Day 6: The places we will visit today will be some more rural areas, the villages where the tribes live and the tea plantations there. If we have time, we will also visit the rainforest. We will have our dinner at a restaurant here again.

Day 7: Today we will go to another city by car. On the way to the city of Sylhet, we will stop by the villages on the way. Our road is 4 hours by car, but we aim to reach Sylhet in the evening with the photo breaks we give. We will see the city in the evening and leave it to the morning. After having our dinner, we will withdraw to our hotel to rest.

Day 8: As we have seen in documentaries today, we will see and photograph those who extract sand and stones in primitive ways. Since the region we are going to is a very beautiful place in terms of nature, it will be a day when we will take some landscape photos. At the end of the day we will return to Sylhet to have our dinner.

Day 9: We will leave the hotel at 07:00 in the morning. We will go to the train station to take pictures. The train station will be quite crowded and colorful. From there we will go to the villages and brick factories. In the afternoon, we will take photos of life by the river and end the day. We will have our dinner in Sylhet and we will retreat to our hotel to rest.

Day 10: We will go to the fish market early in the morning and then return to our hotel. We will fly to Dhaka by plane in the middle of the day. There will be free time in the afternoon.

Day 11: Today we will have come to the end of another great photography trip. We will photograph and see the frozen lives in the middle of the world, separated from technology. We’ll be back with lots of new photos and new information we learn as always. This last day will be free until our plane takes off. Anyone can go shopping or take a photo. We will leave our hotel to be in the area at least 3 hours before our flight time.
